2:33pm: Looking forward to a new phone...
Well, I've just got back from returning some DVDs to Sandy and I'm starting to think my room needs a bit of a tidy-up...maybe in an hour or so...

Anyway, I'm pretty excited about getting VP on Wednesday night, although Corey ([info]thirteenon7) wasted no time in informing me that I have no power except in his absence so I might have to go and buy him that plane ticket to Cuba when I get the chance :p I was also quite amazed by the by-election results, but I suppose that's what happens when people get complacent...

In other Uni-related news, I've dropped back to 2 subjects this semester because, considering everyone failed last year with the full workload, it might be more reasonable to take a smaller workload, perform better, and have more time to work (ie, get a part-time job) and keep an eye on UNU matters.

Anyhows, Clay's coming up tonight, and I've still got a few things (including tidying my room) to take care of before then, so I'm off!

4:28pm: save the planet, indeed...
it really says something about the quality of candidates in an election when the best option on the ballot paper is a corrupt status quo. although, perhaps the greatest irony of my visit to the polling booth today was the greens insisting i take not one, but two, of their (identical) how-to-vote cards.

i was thinking of heading off to the gym but it might be easier just to do some exercise at home and then come up with some ideas for winning the v.p. position on the board on wednesday night. god knows i don't want to miss out again. maybe i should just wind the nelson room clock forward an hour..?

ooh, i just remembered i still have 2 slices of stuffed crust pepperoni pizza in the fridge... lunchtime!

4:25pm: well, i'm back from the coma and all is well. i decided to wash my car today, so there's no longer a centimetre-thick crust of salt.

i also went through the interior and emptied out all the crap from the floor and under the seats, and what i noticed was that 90% of the rubbish wasn't mine. there were empty diet coke cans, other peoples' phone bills and receipts and maccas bags stuffed in weird places. so from now on my car will have a new policy - that is, that it is not a garbage bin! if i give you a lift, take your rubbish with you, or at the very least, don't complain that there's not enough legroom because your rubbish is occupying the space!

anyway...

more to come soon...

22nd November 2003

2:35pm: catching up a little
well, it's now been more than 10 days since we moved in to the essington apartments... 10 days with minimal privacy and a lack of phone connection in my room, meaning the only place i can connect is on the kitchen bench*. woo :|

hopefully on monday we should i should be moving into our new house across from bar beach, but i've just been informed that i won't have a decent phone connection there for at least another 10 days either. this is starting to piss me off.

anyway, for the past week and a bit i've had final exams, the occasional shift at work, the occasional blister due to ice skating at erina and the usual recovery day after a night out in sydney. i think i've managed to have coffee at goldbergs an average of at least once a day for the past 10 days (the 4 visits in less than 48 hours helped that one along).

anyhoo, i'd better have a shower and get myself looking all nice and pretty for clay's friend, nicole's, birthday party at kariong tonight, especially considering i'm supposed to catch a train in less than 2 hours... :s

more to come soon,
hope all are well,
tim

ps: yes, the washing machine *is* located in the kitchen here.

1:59pm: packing
well, im sitting in my room going through all my belongings, trying to figure out what i can throw away before i move. speaking of which, i now know where i'm moving to! it's a lovely rendered house across the road from bar beach carpark, on the corner of parkway and wrightson ave.

there's some shit movie on fox at the moment but it's either that or infomercials... ooh, clay just called and he wants me to take him lunch (he's working 1030-2100 tonight) so i'd better head off... more updates when i get home :p

17th October 2003

11:30am: hey all,

welcome to my first entry, boring and without substance as it may be. at the moment i'm sitting in my room, half-awake, reading email to the sounds of oprah on fox in the background. i'm considering possibly getting up and having a shower sometime soon cos i've gotta get to uni by 2 for a couple of committee meetings, but for the time being i lack both energy and willpower.

as corey's already told everyone in his livejournal, my car is missing a rear passenger door window at the moment cos some worthless junkie decided to steal our bags on tuesday night, but that should all be fixed tomorrow... there's another $301 down the drain.

anyway, i'm not really awake enough to think of much more to say right now so i'm just gonna go.

later
tim
